Have you always wanted to try yoga, but were intimidated by the complex, pretzel poses? Whether you’re looking for a way to strengthen and tone your muscles, or a low-impact way to help correct posture and decrease joint pain – our Beginners Yoga Program is for you.
Hatha Yoga is a system of yoga that relies on slow-stretches and breathing exercises to help individuals develop balance, coordination and harmonization through the act of meditation. It’s a great way to stay in shape for any age group, and since it uses low-impact modes of stretching, it’s ideal for those who are seeking a way to exercise without the additional stress on joints, back and knees.
Through a series of exercises that focus on the quality of the movement, as opposed to quantity like traditional exercises, yoga can help counteract many of the problems suffered during life; such as backache, arthritis and poor circulation. Not only does yoga help strengthen your body, but it also improves the flexibility of the mind, which helps to harmonize your being, leading you to a level of greater peace and health and decreased stress and anxiety.
Hatha Yoga is an ancient discipline that explores, develops, and integrates the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga systematically stretches and strengthens muscles throughout the body, increases circulation to internal organs and glands, quiets the nervous system, and improves concentration. This ancient system of self-care brings vitality, health, deep relaxation and peace of mind.Deep relaxation is taught in each class after completion of the postures. The intention of the instructors is to assist students in the development of physical, mental and spiritual well-being: a truly priceless health advantage.
